Gilbert Lumber With Two state-of-the-art sawmills, including a band mill and a circle mill, Gilbert Lumber Company offers a capacity of 35 million board feet of quality lumber. Our equipment was updated in 1996 to include a new band saw and carriage, to allow us to provide not just quality, but consistency as well. Gilbert Lumber Company produces green lumber for our dry kiln facilities, and the finest in Appalachian hardwood lumber for the furniture industry. Primary species available are ash, basswood, beech, cherry, hickory, hard and soft maple, poplar, red oak, white oak and walnut. With well over 1,000,000 acres of forest under long-term lease by International Industries, Inc. and its divisions, we can be assured of a consistently high quality supply of timber. A full-time forestry crew ensure sound ecological practices in out timber harvesting. Because of the central location of our facilities, and through our other divisions, we can ship lumber via rail, ship, and by using a large fleet of trucks for "just-in-time" worldwide deliveries. And like each of the divisions of International Industries, Inc. , we pride ourselves in providing quality, consistency and excellence in grading standards. |
