Gilbert-PLC Lumber Gilbert-PLC Lumber Company a band sawmill opened in 1993, is located 15 miles south of Charleston, West Virginia. This modern state-of-the-art facility has significantly contributed to the rapid growth of our company. With an annual production of more than 30 million board feet of high quality Appalachian hardwood timber, Gilbert-PLC Lumber Company is an integral part of International Lumber. Gilbert-PLC utilizes state-of-the-art Corley equipment, including a high-speed band head rig, a line bar re-saw, and a slab recovery saw. Situated in the central portion of West Virginia, this mill boasts a prime location just minutes from major roadways leading east/west and north/south. This easy access and close proximity to major highways has two advantages. One allows us to quickly transport our timber from the harvesting site to the mill the second advantage allows us to ship lumber "just-in-time" via adjacent interstate highways. |
